CRSIGM 2ND STATE INTERDENOMINATIONAL THANKSGIVING SERVICE, HER EXCELLENCY, REV. MRS. EYOANWAN BASSEY OTU TO GRACE OCCASION AS GUEST SPEAKER.
The Cross River State Indigenous Gospel Ministers (CRSIGM) Forum is billed to hold the Second Edition of the State Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service on Saturday 14 December, 2024, at the Cultural Centre Complex, Calabar, Cross River State at 9 am on the Theme: Oh Give Thanks To The Lord (Psalm 106:1), with Her Excellency, Rev. Mrs. Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, First Lady and the wife of the Governor Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, as the Guest Speaker.
The Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Calabar, Most Rev. Dr. Christopher Naseri, was the Guest Speaker at the Inaugural Edition held last year December.
In his address to a selected media outlets in Calabar, the State Chairman of CRSIGM., Evangelist Stephen E. Atukanre re-echo  the importance of prayers in the lives of the people of Cross River in praise and worship to honour God in thanksgiving.
“As humans and not just Christians alone, we owe our all to God and what we only can offer is praises, thankfulness with faith in hope for who He is and what He has done for us as individuals and a State.
“And this is why we have continued to pray monthly across each local government without seizure for His faithfulness to have given us the present Administration led by His Excellency, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, a man, we in CRSIGM sees after His heart to lead Cross River State; and he hasn’t failed in delivery good governance in all ramifications, thus far.
“We are lucky to have both their Excellencies as servants of God. Hence, the prosperity we have seen and savoring all to His glory; therefore, let’s reciprocate by saying, ‘we give You Lord all the praises as we give Him all the thanks!’ and this underscore why Her Excellency, Rev. Mrs. Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, Cross River State First Lady has been chosen to be the Guest Speaker.
“This year’s Theme: Oh Give Thanks to the Lord (Psalm 106:1) re-emphasises the importance of prayers in the lives of the people of Cross River in praise and worship to honour God in thanksgiving for His benevolence in all we enjoy. His grace is sufficient and His mercy abound.
“It’s on this note that I want to sincerely invite Cross Riverians and people of goodwill to join us and be part of the second edition of the State Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service on Saturday 14 December, 2024, at Cultural Centre Complex, Calabar, to worship, praise, honour and adore our God to end 2024 in a good note and usher in 2025 through prayers and dedicating the State and Cross Riverians to God.
“Let me once again welcome you in advance and on behalf of the Cross River State Indigenous Gospel Ministers Forum (CRSIGM) to our 2nd Edition of the State Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service holding on Saturday 14th December, at Cultural Centre Complex Calabar, Cross River State at 9 am prompt,” he said.
Dignitaries expected at the occasion include His Excellency, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, Executive Governor of Cross River State. Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly. Members of National Assembly, and the State House of Assembly. Senator John Owan Enoh, Minister of State for Trade and Investment, Federal Republic of Nigeria. Hon. Inyang Yibala Igri, Executive Chairman, Yakurr Local Government Area and Chairman ALGON. Cross River State Chapter. The Mayor of Calabar Municipality, Hon. (Apostle) James Anam, and other Council Chairmen. HRM Eld. Dr. Solomon O. Edward (JP.) Chairman, Cross River State Traditional Rulers Council, and Paramount Ruler of Abi Local Government Area, other Paramount Rulers and Traditional Leaders. Political Leaders, and many more have agreed to grace the thanksgiving.
