The Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri have declared a 24hr curfew to forestall law and order and stop attacks on warehouses.

Governor Fintiri order became necessary to curb the escalating citizens breaking into warehouses, and carting away foodstuffs and other valuables.

According to the Governor, his decision is to prevent breakdown of law and order as hoodlums may capitalised on the situation to attack people and businesses across the State.

The message on his verified Twitter handle stated thus: “Effective immediately Sunday, July 30, 2023, I, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, have declared a 24-hour curfew in Adamawa State due to escalating violence by hoodlums attacking people and businesses.

“No movement is allowed, except for essential duties with valid ID. Your safety is our priority – please comply for the well-being of all,” he wrote.
