OGOJA CHAIRMAN HAILS 8TH LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL ON ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY

OGOJA — The Executive Chairman of Ogoja Local Government Council, Chief (Hon.) Christopher Agbeh, has lauded the Honourable Leader and Members of the 8th Legislative Council of Ogoja Local Government Area for their exemplary service, dedication, and commitment to the ideals of good governance as they mark their one-year anniversary in office.
In a message of felicitation issued from his office, Chief Agbeh expressed “immense joy and a deep sense of appreciation” to the legislators for what he described as a year of “purposeful legislative service to our dear people.”
Reflecting on their achievements, the Chairman commended the lawmakers for their diligence and effective legislative contributions, noting that their efforts have strengthened democratic governance and inspired renewed hope among the people.
“Over the past year, your dedication, diligence, and commitment to the ideals of good governance have been remarkable,” Agbeh said. “Through your constructive deliberations, Bills, motions, and resolutions, you have continued to demonstrate that effective legislation remains the foundation upon which sustainable development is built.”
He further acknowledged that the lawmakers’ performance has “not only strengthened the democratic process at the grassroots but also brought renewed hope to our constituents.”
Chief Agbeh highlighted the cordial and cooperative relationship between the Executive and the Legislature as a key driver of progress in Ogoja Local Government, stressing that such synergy has been vital in advancing the council’s shared vision of quality governance, peace, and development.
“As Chairman of Council, I deeply appreciate the spirit of cooperation, understanding, and mutual respect that has defined the relationship between the Executive and the Legislature within this period,” he said. “This cordial synergy has enabled us to collectively pursue the shared vision of delivering quality governance, peace, and progress to all communities across Ogoja.”
Looking ahead, Chief Agbeh expressed optimism that the partnership between both arms of government would continue to thrive, anchored on unity, transparency, and a shared commitment to the welfare of the people.

He congratulated the Honourable Leader and all Members of the 8th Legislative Council on the milestone and prayed for continued wisdom and strength in their service to humanity.
