SENATOR EKPENYONG HAILS PRESIDENT TINUBU’S COMMITMENT TO NIGER DELTA DEVELOPMENT AT COMMISSIONING OF NDDC DELTA STATE OFFICE

 

✓ Reaffirms Senate’s resolve to ensure transparency, accountability, and sustained public trust in the Commission’s activities

Warri, Delta State — The Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his steadfast dedication to the development and stability of the Niger Delta region.

 

 

Senator Ekpenyong made the remarks on Friday in Warri, Delta State, during the commissioning of the newly built NDDC Delta State Office. The event, which was graced by the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and other key stakeholders from across the region, also featured an inspection of several ongoing NDDC projects within the state.

 

 

In his remarks, Senator Ekpenyong lauded President Tinubu’s developmental drive, as well as the pivotal role of the President of the Senate, His Excellency Godswill Akpabio, and members of the National Assembly in advancing the NDDC’s reform agenda.

“I commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his steadfast dedication to the development and stability of our region,” he said. “I also recognise the President of the Senate, His Excellency Godswill Akpabio, and my colleagues in the National Assembly for their unwavering legislative support for the NDDC’s reform agenda and ongoing projects.”

 

 

Senator Ekpenyong reaffirmed the commitment of the Senate Committee on the NDDC to continue supporting the Commission in its mandate to deliver impactful projects and programmes across the Niger Delta, stressing that oversight and transparency remain central to ensuring the NDDC fulfils its purpose.

“As Chairman of the Senate Committee on the NDDC, I reaffirm our commitment to supporting the Commission’s efforts while ensuring transparency, accountability, and oversight,” he stated.

 

Highlighting the renewed public faith in the Commission, Senator Ekpenyong noted that “public confidence in the NDDC is at an all-time high,” and called on all stakeholders to work together to sustain and strengthen that trust.

 

 

He concluded with a message of hope and prayer, urging continued collaboration for the progress of the region.

“May God continue to give us all the wisdom to improve the fortunes of this blessed region,” he said.

 

 

The commissioning of the new NDDC Delta State Office marks another milestone in the Commission’s ongoing transformation efforts aimed at bringing services closer to the people, improving efficiency, and promoting regional integration and development.
