CROSS RIVER FORESTRY COMMISSION CELEBRATES GOVERNOR OTU AT 66

 

✓ Chairman hails “people-first” leadership, pledges continued support for greener, safer Cross River

Calabar, Nigeria — The Cross River State Forestry Commission has joined well-wishers across the state and nation to celebrate the 66th birthday of Governor Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, describing him as a “people-oriented and visionary leader whose compassion continues to inspire hope and progress.”

 

In a goodwill message issued in Calabar, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, Ntufam Rt. Hon. Deacon George Oben-Etchi, PhD, FCIA, conveyed the heartfelt felicitations of the Commission members, management, and staff to the Governor.

“This day marks not only the passing of time but the celebration of an illustrious life devoted to excellence and service to humanity,” Oben-Etchi stated. “Your compassion continues to inspire confidence and rekindle hope for a better livelihood for Cross Riverians.”

 

The Chairman lauded Governor Otu’s administration for its “visionary leadership and people-centred policies” which have driven remarkable progress in agriculture, tourism, infrastructure, environmental conservation, and human capital development.

“Under your leadership, Cross River State has witnessed tremendous growth and has been repositioned as a model of peace, innovation, and opportunity,” he added.

 

Oben-Etchi reaffirmed the Forestry Commission’s unwavering support for the Governor’s “People First” agenda, particularly in advancing sustainable environmental management and green development.

“We pledge our unfaltering commitment to your administration’s drive for a greener, safer, and more prosperous Cross River State,” he said, praying for divine wisdom, strength, and sound health for the Governor.
