OGOJA MOTHER WELCOMES BABY UNDER JARICARE HEALTH INSURANCE, NAMES CHILD AFTER SENATOR JARIGBE.
In a heartwarming testament to the impact of accessible healthcare, Munira Mohammed Awaulu Ali, a resident of Ogoja in Cross River State, has delivered a healthy baby at the Ogoja General Hospital—completely free of charge—under the JariCare Health Insurance Policy funded by Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe.
Munira is among 500 constituents currently benefitting from the JariCare initiative, a comprehensive health insurance scheme aimed at improving access to healthcare in the region. Of this number, 90 women are pregnant and receiving full antenatal, delivery, and postnatal care through the programme.
In a touching gesture of gratitude, Munira has named her newborn son Aliyu Jarigbe, in honour of the Senator whose intervention ensured she experienced a safe and cost-free delivery.
“This health insurance policy is life-saving,” Munira said. “It’s better than a three-day health outreach. It provided me with consistent care when I needed it most.”
The JariCare policy continues to demonstrate the value of long-term healthcare solutions over temporary interventions, as more constituents like Munira gain access to critical medical services without financial burden.
The initiative, championed by Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, forms part of a broader vision to improve public health outcomes and ensure that no constituent is left behind due to lack of access or affordability.
