RESOLUTIONS FROM THE STAKEHOLDERS’ MEETING ON AYIP EKU OIL PALM ESTATE, AKAMKPA LGA.

Following thorough deliberations held on Tuesday April 15, 2025, at the Metropolitan Hotel Calabar, to address longstanding issues surrounding the ownership and underdevelopment of the Ayip Eku Oil Palm Estate in Akamkpa Local Government Area, key stakeholders—including the Senior State Security Adviser, the Cross River State Commissioner of Police, the State Director of the Directorate of State Security Services, the Chairman of the House Committee on Agriculture and Forestry, Cross River State House of Assembly, the House of Assembly member representing Akamkpa II state constituency, the Chairman, Akamkpa Local Government Council, Chairman Cross River State Forestry Commission, Village Chiefs and Leaders of the host communities, as well as representatives of Wingsong M-House Palm Oil Investment Limited, adopted the following resolutions:
- Wingsong M-House Palm Oil Investment Limited is affirmed as the core investor of the Ayip Eku Oil Palm Estate. This affirmation was supported by official correspondence between the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation and the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), Abuja, which conclusively clarified the ownership status.
- Wingsong M-House Palm Oil Investment Limited was found to have fallen short of its original contractual obligations regarding the development and management of the estate.
- Stakeholders directed Wingsong M-House Palm Oil Investment Limited to submit a comprehensive development plan for the estate within one month from the date of the meeting.
- Wingsong M-House Palm Oil Investment Limited is also required to submit a formal letter of commitment to the Governor of Cross River State, referencing submissions made during the stakeholders’ meeting and copying all relevant stakeholders.
These resolutions reflect the collective will of all parties involved and aim to ensure the revitalization and productive utilization of the Ayip Eku Oil Palm Estate.
The administration of His Excellency, Apostle Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, remains committed to transparency, constructive stakeholder engagement, and the advancement of agro-industrial growth that delivers benefits to investors, host communities and the general public.
All impostors are hereby warned to desist from any act of impersonation or encroachment on the Estate.
