The Labour Party (LP) councillorship candidate for Effanga Offiong Ward, Akpabuyo Local Government Area, in the forthcoming Cross River State Council Election scheduled for November 2, 2024, Comrade (Hon.) Bassey Edet Okon, has pledged to provide responsive, responsible, accountable, and quality representation.

 

Comrade Bassey made this promise during his campaign flag-off in Akpabuyo. He stated that his motivation for contesting the councillorship is driven by his passion and love for his people to develop the ward and provide the needed leadership.

 

COMR. BASSEY EDET OKON REPRESENTING EFFANGA OFFIONG WARD, AKPABUYO LGA UNDER LABOUR PARTY.

 

“This is not my first time on this journey. I have traversed this path before and was prevailed upon to step down and wait for another opportunity to serve you, and the time has come.”

“Mine is not an ambition but passion-driven love for my people to provide leadership and advance our cause under divine destiny.”

 

He unveiled his ‘Contract Document 2024,’ titled    ‘Audacity of a New Order,’ promising to:

– Sponsor bills addressing socioeconomic deficits
– Promote education, especially for girl child and less privileged
– Facilitate entrepreneurial opportunities
– Foster working relationships with the Executive Chairman for development
– Ensure regular town hall meetings.

 

Labour Party stalwarts, stakeholders, and dignitaries attended the flag-off ceremony, with goodwill messages pouring in.
