Beatrice Akpala an All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairmanship candidate for Yala Local Government Area has just received traditional blessings from their Royal Father’s, HRH Chief Ignatius Olem, Chairman, Ukelle Traditional Rulers Council and the Clan Head of Wanihem Ward, North Ukelle, Chief Samuel Obok Lukpata.
Both Royal Father’s formally bestowed their blessings on Beatrice as they urged her to go all the way to contest with the confidence that she will emerged victorious not only in the primaries but also in the election proper come 2nd November, 2024.
The Chairman of Ukelle Traditional Rulers Council, HRH Ignatius Olem, urge the frontline Chairmanship Aspirant not to be distracted nor entertain any fear when she come before her male counterparts.
“Our daughter Beatrice, I want to urge you to go all out and to entertain no fear as you come before males in this journey to become our first amongst equals. You have shown resilience, determination and have consulted widely.
“It is our collective prayers that God in His infinite mercy will grant your heart desires and keep you safe for the task ahead and bless your steps as you get ready to lead us politically.
“The Almighty God you serve will answer your fervent prayers and grant your request to become the Executive Chairman of Yala Local Government Area, so that we will experience development more than ever before,” he said.
On his part, Chief Samuel Obok Lukpata, the Clan Head of Wanihem Ward, equally thanked God on behalf of Beatrice Akpala candidacy as he foresee a brighter future for Yala Local Government Area with Beatrice on the mantle of political leadership.
The Clan Head, expressed happiness that at last, his own subject has taken the bold step of contesting for the most coveted and exalted seat in the highly and politically conscious Yala Local Government Area, noting that the Chairmanship position has never been won by a woman before.
“I want to commend you for this bold step, your steadfastness and maturity you have over time played in our political trajectory in the past and currently.
“As we bestow you with our Royal blessings, it’s a clear signal that your time has come to lead us politically and usher in development in all sphere of our lives.
“Your reign will bring Yala Local Government Area good tidings, development and peace. And no weapon fashion against you shall prosper and every tongue that rise against you shall be condemned through Christ our Lord, Amen,” he concluded.
The November 2nd, 2024, Local Government Council Election promises to throw up intrigues and both Chairmanship and Councillorship aspirants are not relenting and deploying strategies to out do one another.
