Full text of Hon. Eugene Bessong Obia message to Labour Party stakeholders and faithfuls in the State on the inauguration of the Caretaker Committee.
Dear Esteemed Stakeholders, Leaders, and Members of the Labour Party, Cross River State,
I write this message with a heart full of gratitude and deep appreciation for the confidence you have reposed in me. First, as the Acting State Chairman, and now as the Secretary of the newly constituted State Caretaker Committee, I am truly humbled by your unwavering trust and support.
Serving as the Acting State Chairman was a great honor, and I owe any success we achieved during my tenure to the commitment and teamwork displayed by each and every one of you. The faith you have shown in my leadership has been a guiding force, and I am immensely grateful for the encouragement, collaboration, and solidarity I received throughout this period.
As I take on the new role of Secretary within the Caretaker Committee, I am mindful of the continued responsibility to serve this great party and the people of Cross River State with dedication, integrity, and a renewed sense of purpose. I pledge to work closely with our new Chairman, Mr. John Ushie, and the entire leadership team to strengthen the party, foster unity among our members, and ensure we remain a credible force for change and progress.
I extend my sincere appreciation to my leader, Hon. Alvin Ochang for his support, guidance and efforts in maintaining peace and cohesion within the party. I also thank all our stakeholders, local government representatives, and members for your steadfast loyalty and commitment to the values of our party. Your collective belief in the Labour Party’s mission has been the bedrock of our successes.
Together, we will continue to build a stronger, united Labour Party that will champion the aspirations of the people of Cross River State and Nigeria at large. I look forward to working with each of you in this new capacity, and I am confident that together, we will achieve even greater heights.
