HIGH CHIEF HENRY ONWE CONGRATULATES GOVERNOR BASSEY OTU ON HIS SUPREME COURT VICTORY.

High Chief Henry Onwe, the Coordinator of the Yala Local Government APC Campaign for the 2023 elections has sent hearty felicitation to Senator Prince Bassey Otu on his Supreme Court Victory on Friday, January 12.
Chief Onwe in a statement released soon after the court ruling said the decision of the Supreme Court has validly attested to the confidence placed on Senator Otu by the people of Cross River State who overwhelmingly voted for for him during the March 18, 2023 governorship election.
“Nothing can truncate the people’s verdict and the road to development of our dear state which Senator Prince Otu has started.”
He applauded the Supreme Court for standing by the truth and making a bold declaration which by all standards stands the test of time”.
He said the Supreme Court victory is the final icing on the cake and serves as a leeway for the governor to act without any distractions anymore and assured that he and his legion of supporters are with the governor at all times
High Chief Henry Onwe called on the opposition to join the governor and other good people of the state and work for its development.
“If their effort is for the good of the state, then no need to keep dissipating energy fighting illusive battles but to join His Excellency Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu and the good people of the state in working for its wellbeing” Onwe asserted.
High Chief Onwe also congratulated the Cross River State Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Peter Odey, saying the Deputy and the Governor ran on one ticket and have both been dragged into unnecessary litigation together.
“This legal triumph is for both the Governor and his Deputy. Both have had to go through six court litigations beginning from the primary election till now and I commend them for their doggedness and justified victory”
He said the state will now witness uninhibited progress that legal distractions are over.
