..2023 was a year of change…
In the past year, we retraced our steps, went under the skin of issues plaguing our society and ultimately, our economy. We may not have completely tackled these issues, but incremental progress was made with each decision made and action taken.
Our commitment is unwavering and in 2024, we’ll fulfil our promise to the people as we implement lasting solutions to our economic challenges.
As a government, we have critically studied and analysed these issues in the first quarter of this administration and fashioned best options to tackle them.
We’re aware of our strengths and weaknesses in all facets of the economy. We shall consolidate on the areas of our comparative advantages and significantly grow the State’s IGR especially in Agriculture and Irrigation Development and ensure zero-negligence in our endeavours.
The blueprint put forward by His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu to address our economic needs and improve the standard of living of Cross Riverians is value-driven with a people-first agenda. A case in point is the agricultural revolution that is going on in the State.
It is my desire that as a people, we key in and utilize the various opportunities that abound in this administration especially the Agricultural Sector to better our lives.
On behalf of My family and Staff in the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation Development, I welcome you to a prosperous year 2024.
Signed.
Hon. Johnson Andiambey Ebokpo (KSM)
Commissioner for Agriculture and Irrigation Development, Cross River State.
