Amb. (Dr) John-Nteka Ekong Umoh, a current recipient of the Change Ambassadors For Peace And Humanity (CAPH) Award 2023; an internationally recognised honour, has identified greed as one of the factors militating against the achievement of peace in today’s world.
Dr Umoh stated this in a chat with Journalists shortly after receiving his prestigious award of honour at Ibro Hotels Annex, Zone 5 Wuse 1, Abuja.
He maintained that until people begin to nurture love and kindness in their hearts, peace will be difficult to attain, pointing to the need for wide advocacy and awareness so that peace messages be imbibed by all.
“if we grow in love then we will have peace”
Speaking on the Award, Amb. Umoh said he feels good and elated having been recognised by an international organisation for his contribution to society knowing that some of the things he has done especially in the area of promoting peace and unity are seen by people.
“If there’s anything that is needed in the world today is peace and as a Christian, the person I followed who is Jesus Christ said the peace I leave for you”
Accordingly, HE ( Dr) Umoh is the Managing Director/CEO, of JT Facilitation and Consultation Services. United Nations Department for Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) and United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) International Diplomatic Appointment and Diplomatic Passport Consultant.
He is also the founder of the Hypertension and Diabetes Awareness Foundation, and Child Basic Rights Advocacy and Good Governance Restoration.
He dedicated the Award to his wife, Chiamaka John-Nteka who according to him is a wonderful wife and a dependable spouse and also to God.
