The Deputy Speaker of 10th Cross River State House of Assembly (CRSHA), and member representing Obudu State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Sylvester Agabi has charged his newly appointed officers to live above board and be ready to render quality and selfless service to the people.
Hon. Agabi made his position known in his office, at the Assembly Complex today, during an Interactive/Familiarization session with the newly appointed aides.
The Hon. Speaker of the CRS House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem who approved the appointments into the office of the Deputy Speaker a few days after inauguration of the Assembly on 13th June, 2023 had Joseph Odama as Chief of Staff, Anakia John Akawu as Protocol Officer, Agbor M. Ogar as Press Secretary, Orim Daniel Asu as Media Liason Officer, Akpanke David as Special Assistant, Adung Odey as Personal Assistant I and Ekawu Odey Sunday as Personal Assistant II.
He used the occasion to inform the appointees that they were carefully selected after due consultation with stakeholders, admonishing them to see their appointments as a call to service.
Agabi charged them to be coordinated, cooperative and work selflessly while promoting policies and programs of the present administration.
“While I charge you to immediately roll your sleeves for serious work, let me inform you that these appointments were made after due consultations with critical stakeholders and I believe you will not disappoint them and the people that have given us this mandate to serve them,” the DS said.
Responding on behalf of the newly appointed aides, Chief of Staff to the Deputy Speaker (DS,) Mr. Joseph Odama, thanked the Deputy Speaker for the confidence reposed in them to serve and promised to work on the path of decency and integrity.
“We are very excited by this noble opportunity given us to serve you and the State Assembly and we promise to be of good behavior and conduct.
