As stakeholders jostle for Commissionership, the Obudu All Progressives Youth Development and Solidarity Forum (OYDSF) has called on the Cross River State Governor, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu to consider Hon. AGORYE AJANG for the position of Commissioner in the State Executive Council.
This is because Hon. Ajang is one of the greatest backbones as far as APC is concerned in Obudu precisely Utugwang South Ward, hence the nomination of such a hard-working personality will place APC as a party in a vantage position, not only in Utugwang South Ward but the entire Obudu Local Government Area.
The President of the group, Joseph Abas, made the call at a news conference in Obudu on Thursday.
Govt Otu is expected to forward names of Commissioner nominees to the State House of Assembly for confirmation, on or before July 28 to beat the deadline stipulated by law.
The group’s president stressed that it’s an honourable thing for Sen. Otu to reward those who spent time, energy and Goodwill in bringing the APC to victory across Utugwang Community and Obudu in general.
“Some of those who are currently jostling for an appointment around the Governor did little or nothing during the campaign and election period. Obudu Local Government delivered APC for the State House of Assembly, Hon. Sylvester Agabi who hails from Utugwang South Ward where Hon. Agorye Ajang hails from, it’s because of his efforts that gave birth to all those victories”
Stressing that it is time, to tell the truth, Agorye maintained that some APC members could not even deliver their polling units, positing that it’s appalling as they’re currently lobbying for appointments under the current government to complete their uncompleted buildings and others they couldn’t complete during the Governor Ben Ayade’s government.
Hon. Agorye Ajang is a philanthropist, an icon of diligent services, professionalism per excellence and an epitome of hope to the youthful generation.
The group president further described Hon. Agorye Ajang as the most competent and one with the technical know-how to occupy such a position from Utugwang.
