As part of the ongoing Constituency Needs/Assessment tour, Hon. Peter Akpanke stopped by the Site where the Contractor, LEOPHINA that is handling the Ikom/Obudu Highway and expressed his displeasure over the poor quality and slow rate of the ongoing road projects.
In his remark, he noted that aside from the fact that the said road leads to his Community, the slow pace of work is creating more trouble for commuters and other road users and he’s not happy because, during the rainy season, commuters find it difficult to utilize the Road.
The MP further inform the Press that he will write to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works to feed him with details on the Award of Contract and why the work has been slow despite Payments of funds to Contractors.
