GOVERNOR OTU APPOINTS SSG. CoS. CPS AND OTHER KEY STAFF.

Governor Prince Bassey Edet Otu, of Cross River State, has made key appointments that includes, the Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff, Chief Press Secretary and several other aides.

 

The Governor, appointed the immediate past former Vice Chancellor of the Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) now University of Cross River State (Unicross), Prof. Anthony Owan-Enoh as the Secretary of the State Government, while Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, was named as Chief of Staff, and the current Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) in the FCT Chapter, Comrade Emmanuel Ogbeche, as Chief Press Secretary.

 

Other appointees are, Major General Okpi Ubi (Rtd), as Senior Special Adviser on Security (State Security Adviser). Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) John Abang (Rtd). as Special Adviser on Security, Central.

 

Commander Patrick Odiong (Rtd) and Mr. Achu Ben Olayi, are Special Advisers, Security, South and North Senatorial Districts, respectively.

 

Governor Otu also appointed an Acting State Chief Protocol in the person of Mr Sylvester Otu Abang.

 

Dr. Innocent Eteng, the Permanent Secretary for General Administration in the Office of the State Government, signed the Press Release on Monday, and directed that the appointments are with immediate effect.
