High Chief Ray Morphy has warned on the dire consequences of the rush to complete the ‘spaghetti flyover,’ initiated by the Ayade’s administration over the last 8years.

Morphy, took to his verified Facebook handle to call the attention of those concern of the danger. Hence, it takes 21days for concrete to cure and wonder why the rush to finish the flyover before May 29, that couldn’t have been fixed, long before now?

“I write this in public interest. Save our road users from disasters! I am an elder and good elders don’t keep quiet when evil is afoot!

“It is a well known construction fact that it takes minimum of 21/days for concrete to cure and set properly. I therefore warn and caution those involved in this suspicious haste to “finish” that ill conceived Odukpani flyover! Please stop the hasty rush rush job. Concrete is never rushed that way. Rushed concrete becomes collapsed concrete!

“Don’t leave a disaster for the people of Cross River. We know it’s about money and justification of the billions siphoned through that project. The lives of our people are more important to us than money.

“Please stop this late hour rush. You people had 8 years to achieve, yet you did little or nothing. Is it now in this 8 days remaining that you will do wonders?

“Please, don’t add insult to our deep injury! We don’t want to read stories that break the heart as a result of shoddy job on that flyover,” he concluded.
