One hundred and eighteen Cross Riverians, were in November 2022, deceived that they were successful in their previous interview for placement in the so-called UBEC Smart School built by Governor Ayade in Obudu. Another sixteen successful candidates were kept on hold because their certificates were still under verification.
In a statement by caretaker Senator Stephen Odey, the State Chairman of SUBEB, the successful candidates were asked to converge at the Conference Hall of State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Calabar on Monday, 28th November, 2022 by 10:00am prompt for collection of Appointment letters and documentation.
But like several of Governor Ayade’s fraudulent employment attempts in the last eight years, none of those listed was given neither the appointment letter nor the job.
I remember vividly how I warned some of the applicants and the general public that Governor Ayade was characteristically lying and did not have any intention of employing anyone. He was just looking for votes for the Cross River North Senatorial Election which he lost. And now it is turning out to be exactly what I told you. Believe Ayade at your own peril.
