The former Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Senator Liyel Imoke, Former Leader of the Senate, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba SAN and Major General Ejim Emekah, Director Administration and Research, Nigerian Army Heritage and Future Centre, Abuja yesterday, lauded the impact of Mary Knoll College on the society and the need for all Old Boys to remain united and Continue to assist the institution, as Contact and Mobilization Committee of the MARCO Platinum Celebration Team visited the respected Old Boys separately in Abuja to brief them on the preparation for the celebration.
Senator Liyel Imoke, a Former Governor, Senator and Minister of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria commended the Team for their visit and promised to continue to assist the School. He said his Father as a Minister of Education then sent him to Mary Knoll because the school was the best therefore, he owes his political and public service to his Alma mater, MARCO. He also commended the Catholic Church for the creation of MARCO promising to use his contact and network to bring Old Boys to the Platinum celebration.
In his remarks, Former Senate Leader and NDDC Boss, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba SAN said he owes everything to the Catholic Church and Mary Knoll College. The former NDDC Boss who spoke about his good intentions for the school while in the commission promised to continue to put MARCO first, urging other Old Boys to remember Mary Knoll as their root and try to give back for its continuous existence.
In the same Vein, Major General Ejim Emekah, Director Administration and Research, Nigerian Army Heritage and Future Centre, Abuja, spoke with nostalgia his experience in Mary Knoll and how it prepared him for the Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA). He Thanked the Old Boys for coming to celebrate him which has now motivated him to work better. He urged all Old Boys not just to unite for the development of the school but to celebrate and help one another; those who are doing well should help those not doing well, with this MARCO and the society at large will grow better.

The Platinum Celebration will be taking place in the School from 12th to 18th June, 2023.
