A Nigerian man, Professor Gideon Christian who petitioned the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate election and post-election violence in Nigeria against Bayo Onanuga, a spokesperson to president-elect Bola Tinubu has made more claims.

He alleged new evidence appears to suggest an alleged involvement of Femi Fani-Kayode and Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, in the ethnically motivated violence.

Christian disclosed he would be sending another communication to the ICC specifically requesting their (Fani-Kayode and MC Oluomo) investigation and prosecution.

The statement is contained in a post via his Twitter handle on Monday.

Recall that he had in his petition titled: “Request to Investigate the Election and Post-Election Violence in Nigeria as well as Incitement to Ethnic Hate by Mr Bayo Onanuga”, invited the Office of the prosecutor to investigate a series of ethnically motivated violence resulting in injuries and death during the recently concluded Nigeria’s presidential and governorship elections.

The ICC had formally acknowledged the petition.

However, the acclaimed scholar said he had made new findings leading to the ethnically motivated violence at the last election.

He wrote, “Since my last letter to @IntlCrimCourt evidence appear to suggest the alleged involvement of @realFFK & MC Oluomo in the ethnically motivated violence at the last election. I will be sending another communication to ICC specifically requesting their investigation and prosecution.”
