The Chiefs, Elders and the people of Orom, Yala Nkum, Okuni and Akam Clans of Ikom 1, State Constituency, welcomed Hon. OCHANG Alvin Ochang, Labour Party candidate for Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency, and unanimously agreed to vote the Labour Party candidates without any exception, as an obligation to better their lives and secure the future of the present and future generations of their people.
They made their positions known as the received Alvin and his Campaign Team to their various Clans with the assurances that 2023, is more of a referendum than just a General election to determine the people’s will and resolved on the way forward.
And according to them, the election is just the opportunity they have waited to expressed their dismay and misgivings against bad governance, hence, chosen the part of freedom by voting Labour Party and personalities as against party politics that has brought them into quagmire.
On his part, Alvin, said the punishment the people suffers is their inability to show concern and participate in the government; which thus spur him and many now to be interested and come provide services to the people, proffering solutions on the way forward as clearly demonstrated by Peter Obi, Datti Baba Ahmed in their sojourn both at private and public services.
“We’ve seen the pains we all have gone through and have decided to intervene and not allow the so called ‘career politicians’ who are our problems to continue in their holocaust grip to power.
“Our message is clear. Our PVC’s is just the singular weapon to take back our country through Labour Party.
“2023, is the year of sober reflection in retrospect of our past to have conspired in one way or the other to have foisted these people on ourselves and therefore, it’s time to tell ourselves the truth and for restitution by voting our consciences to usher in a New Nigeria as envisaged by Peter Obi.
“A New Nigeria of peace, equity, justice, freedom, unity and love. New Nigeria from consumption to production. A New Nigeria were traditional institution need be taken care of. education, security and safety will be paramount.
“We’re all labourers and deserve our wages; Labour Party is ours and Nigerians last hope.
And like the Bible clearly stated in Proverbs 29:2, ‘when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.’ My appeal is simple, let’s do the right thing and never again allow ourselves to be used and dumped by politicians who don’t mean well for us.
“It’s pay back time with our PVC’s for power will change hands,” said Alvin.
The trio of Alvin OCHANG, Enagu Odima and Clinton Ogar, were blessed and endorsed as proclaimed by HRH Okim Ori Anthony Ndoma, Okim Okwa V and Clan Head of Okuni with the backings of HRH Moses Ogar Ofuka, Clan Head of Orom-Yala Nkum and HRH Rex Ekebere, Clan Head of Akam.
