ALVIN OCHANG Campaign Organisation (AOCO) earlier today, Sunday, 8 January, 2023, had a Thanksgiving Mass at Saint Benedict Catholic Church, Enyi-Boje, Boki, and which coincided with the feast of the Epiphany, a moment of sudden manifestation to reveal, clarify and give insight; intuitive grasp of reality as it currently affect us as a nation and people.
The Mass was officiated by Rev. Fr. Mathew Majuk and assisted by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Gabriel Ajom Bassey.
Alvin, used the opportunity to support the building of the permanent residence of the Priests, and thereafter proceeded on Campaign Tours of Ebranta, Iso-Bendeghe and Nsadop Clans, where he met with the Traditional Chiefs, Elders, women and the youths, to tell them on the way forward as it concerns the 2023 General elections.
According to him, the Labour Party with Peter Obi and Datti Baba Ahmed have provided us the best alternative to forge into the future as an egalitarian society, but which can only be made possible when we take advantage of the golden opportunity to cast our votes for Labour Party Presidential candidate, his vice, and other candidates of the Party that includes himself as the Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency candidate in the coming elections.
In the course of his Campaign, he thus inquired from the people:
“Are you happy with the living standard as it is currently?
“Aren’t we all labourers that deserves our wages, like the Bible stated?
“Haven’t we been forced to the wall for us to retreat our steps for a better society to bequeath to future generations?
“Must we continue in sufferings and smiling with those who have put us into this mess and coming after 4years to seek for your votes again?
“They only know now, how important you have become with the power vested on you through your permanent voter’s card (PVC), that in your subconsciousness, you wheel the power to change for good, your destinies and that of your nation.
“My appeal to you all is simple, your individual choices in conscience, after purging ourselves of our actions and inactions of the past, will do just the singular magic; when you vote wisely and rightly in 2023 General elections,” he said.
The routine rituals during his Campaign Tours is the blessings from their Rural Highnesses. HRH Leonard Akam E. Clan Head of Boje. HRH Otushua John B Ogar, Clan Head of Iso-Bendeghe, whom equally used him as a point of contact to bless Peter Obi for his Presidential victory as well.
