The people of Iko Essai Ward of Akamkpa 1 State Constituency have assured all APC Candidates running Elections of their support and votes in next year’s general Elections.

 

This pronouncement was made during the visit of APC Candidates for Senate, Asuquo Ekpenyong, House of Reps, Onun Dr Emil Inyang and State Assembly, Hon Okon Nyong Owuna on Sunday at Essai Village.

 

The Clan Head of Essai, HRH Obio Arong Owai declared total commitment to the Candidates of All Progressive Congress (APC). The revered Traditional head noted that the decision was based on the need for the Community to stand behind their sons, Hon Matthew Olory, Elder Effiom Olory and daughter Madam Titi Ndifon who have brought enormous joy to the community before now. He tasked the visitors not to forget the bad deplorable road of Iko Essai and other basic amenities that can improve the life of the people when they get to Abuja.

The APC South Senatorial Candidate, Asuquo Ekpenyong in his remarks said there was need for him and Candidates of the APC to visit the ward in order to talk to the people directly and see the general living condition of Iko Essai People while advocating on the need for the entire ward to support APC in next year’s general Elections.

 

“Tinubu and Prince Bassey Otu are the best people we need as President and Governor for the betterment of our Country and State because they have been tested before and they have never disappointed us. A vote for them also is a vote to make their job as legislatures very easy in attracting development to the Ward; said the former Commissioner For Finance.

Speaking Earlier, Onun Dr Emil Inyang restated his commitment to empower constituents and declare state of emergency for development in Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency.

 

“We want to go to the National Assembly to empower our people and declare State of Emergency on a decade of poor representation.

 

“We are soliciting for your support and votes so that constituents will benefit more from dividends of democracy,” Inyang said.

The Candidate for Akamkpa 1 State Constituency, Ntufam Okon Nyong Owuna charged the People of Iko Essai to Vote APC from top to bottom as a way of keeping their own side of the bargain for developments. He promised to serve as a watchdog for programs and projects that will benefit the Community.

 

Leader of the LG Legislative Council and Councillor representing Iko Essai Ward, Hon Usor Ubum assured the Visitors of the Ward’s Commitment towards delivering all Candidates of the APC.

 

Calling on the women to come out in numbers to votes decisively for APC, Vice Chairman South of the APC, Madam Titi Ndifon disclosed, the APC governments at both national and state levels have provided opportunities for women to serve in various positions of government which she is a beneficiary and as such deserves to continue.

 

“You know when am there you are also there, your vote for APC is a vote for me to protect your right and bring whatsoever is due for you, hold me responsible for these candidates; said Mrs Ndifon.

 

The Ward Tour of Iko Essai was rounded up with a visit to Iberem Community Elders. APC team to the Ward was led by the Serving Member of House of Assembly for Akamkpa 1, Rt Hon Matthew Olory and many notable stakeholders from the ward, two DGs of Campaign for Senate and Reps, Hon Oqua Edet Oqua and Prof Uti Egbai amongst many others.
