FUSION196, a socio-political Organisation saddled with the sole objective of the enthronement of good governance across board, continue their sensitisation as they met with the Akwa Ibom Community in Calabar, to drum support for Ntufam Senator Prince Bassey Otu.
According to the Group, their choice of Ntufam Prince Otu is born out of patriotic responsibility, as the owe Cross Riverians, nay Nigerians a duty to educate and inform them of the rightful candidates to vote for come 2023.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Comrade Joe AGBOR said, “Akwa Ibom State is a contiguous state with Cross River, we share close affinity and must be interested on who governs us, and this most be deliberate.
“We have found it pertinent to come engage with your Community as critical stakeholders and partners to develop our dear State, because you are the largest non indigenous Community in the State and have been active in the total development.
“Be rest assured that Ntufam Senator Prince Bassey Otu, will never sacrifice good leadership on the alter of greed as he remains empathetic and a refine gentleman.”
Also present at the engagement, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbark, Director General of the Prince is Coming Support Group, came in solidarity with FUSION196, in his remarks, he appreciated the good works of the Akwa Ibom Community in the development of Cross River and concluded that, “your support for Prince Bassey Otu in previous elections is commendable and now more than before, has become a clarion call.”
He reiterated Sen Otu’s readiness to serve the people without ethnic sentiments as his inclinations is towards humanity and good leadership, equality and justice and the promotion of good governance.
“The back to South is a call to fairness and justice and that Sen Otu’s aspirations is the peoples aspirations and so its the people’s mandate.
“We are Support Groups, seeking partnership with you and want to assure you that, when campaign commences, Senator Otu will definitely have tme to interact with you on a one on one basis.”

Responding, the President of the Akwa Ibom Community in Cross River State, Pastor Kinwot Ekanem said, “We are elated to have you amongst us as you are the only and first Support Group that has deemed it fit to come identify with us. Although, we are not political but to be honest with you, we have identify with Senator Prince Bassey Otu, judging from his past sterling leadership and impactful life to humanity, he deserves higher responsibilities. I want to assure you that, very soon, we will meet to harmonize our political direction and FUSION196, will be happy about the outcome,” he said.
