NIGERIA ENGINEERS CONFER DR ASIBONG WITH STEWARDSHIP AWARD.

The Cross River State Commissioner for International Development Cooperation, Dr Inyang Asibong has been honoured in recognition of contributions to Engineering projects in Cross River State, by the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).

 

Presenting the award to the Commissioner and 3 other outstanding Personalities, including Engr Etido Inyang FNSE, Chairman Ibom Power Company, AKS and Engr Dr Joseph Ukpata, immediate past Chairman, Nigerian Society of Engineers on Saturday in Calabar, the the National President of Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr Tasiu Saad Godari-Wudil, eulogised the Commissioner for successfully coordinating International Development Projects – CSDA , FADAMA , APPEALS , EU- NDSP CR RAAMP amongst others, all of which deal extensively with civil Engineering projects.

Engr Tasiu said that the Commissioner had distinguished herself among colleagues as a silent and great achiever, whose track of indelible achievements had made them proud as professionals.

In her response, the Commissioner who was represented by the Senior Special Assistant, Coco- Bassey Esu appreciated the Nigerian Society of Engineers for considering her and the Ministry worthy of the award, saying it was a call for more dedication and hard work.

The Commissioner also thanked His Excellency, Governor Ben Ayade for giving him the privilege to serve her people at the state, and for making the ministry his topmost priority .

The Commissioner recently had only bagged the Honorary Award from Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers for her resourcefulness in Sub catchment management and social/ livelihood management.
