The Forum of State Independent Electoral Commissions of Nigeria (FOSIECON), has elected Asooc Professor Mike Ushie, Chairman of the Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission (CROSIEC) as it’s National Secretary.

Dr. Ushie, who is serving his second term as Chairman, CROSIEC emerged National Secretary due the overwhelming support from his colleagues and never unconnected with his track records as the electoral umpire boss in Cross River.

In his acceptance speech at La Pour Hotel, Okonjo Iweala Way, Utako, Abuja, Dr. Mike, expressed his appreciation for the confidence reposed on him by his colleagues and promised not to betray the trust and that to whom much is given, much is expected and assure to bring his wealth of experience to bay in the two years that he will be in the saddle as National Secretary.

The Forum of State Independent Electoral Commissions of Nigeria (FOSIECON) has been in existence over 21, years ago and has contributed immensely to the growth of the nation democracy.
