The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has honoured Prof Florence Obi, Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar with an Award of Excellence following her developmental strides in the institution.

Presenting the award, Comr. Afufu Anthony, National Ex-Officio said the award became necessary in view of the upgrade of the University in terms of construction and equipping several lecture facilities.

Speaking further, Afufu noted that “with these development, there will no longer be problem of students jostling for lecture halls and other academics facilities.

However, Comr Ugah James while lauding the effort of the VC noted that it is good to appreciate an administrator who’s determination is to better the lot of others.

“when you see good things you must appreciate them”

In a remark, the Vice Chancellor assures the Association of her determination to do more.

” I’m determined to changing the dilapidated state of the school infrastructure and uplifting academics standard” she stressed.
