The taste of the pudding is quite truly in the eating, even as tall dreams and vaunting prophesies have come crashing down in the clash of God and Caeser. The APC with their strong CPC veterbrae has frankly not disappointed the knowing, because not a lot of people thought them any higher in ideology and purpose. They have only come through for what they always were – a gathering of Northern bigots and jihadists, with their Southern puppets in tow.
The puppets have no idea where they are going to, they are only satisfied with a full belly and the promise of more dollar notes in the future. It doesn’t matter to the puppets that they have become quislings, selling their tribes and tongues and faith for a mess of portage. They are satisfied with their temporary comforts, the very novelty of belonging and the illusion of grandeur. That is why they take pictures with the President, take pictures with his aeroplane, and some more pictures with his chairs and return home to the South with the pictures as emblems of their triumphant victory.
And while our Southern page boys revel in near orgasmic excitement over the pictures and the new items of luxury, like limousines, mansions and silken robes, their Northern colleagues return to the mosque, sitting cross – legged on Arabian rugs, to plan the advancement of the Islamic faith and the inevitable conquest of Southern Nigeria.
In the wake of the rude awakening and brusque announcement of a Muslim – Muslim Presidency by the ruling party, many so called men of God are now drooling in their mouths, they have become stammerers unable to make definitive statements or stand up in defence of their faith. Ranking Knights of the church, bishops, Reverend Fathers, pastors, evangelists, even General Overseers of multibillion churches have unfortunately lost their tongues and can nolonger see visions because mammon has bared its fangs and the otherwise loud voices of our so called men of God are drowned in the putrefaction of their own filthy lucre.
Their ears are stuffed with material wax and can nolonger hear the voice of God. Their mouths are crowded with so much oxen meat and can nolonger speak the word of God. Their sacrifices have become mere orgiastic ceremonies for the worship of the molten God of money and the enjoyment of the human flesh. And christianity in Nigeria is on trial today, but sadly, only a few are standing up to be counted. The rest are standing with the politicians, with the Party. They have taken side with their pockets and the material wants of their greed. The ideology of Christ was exemplified in the way he lived, austere, steadfast and true to His flock. Sharing love, care and hope, with the promise of a bountiful eternity above beyond the instant existence, provided one lived in accordance with the tenets of the teachings and loved their neighbours as they loved themselves. Sadly, Christian men of God in Nigeria have long deviated and now only truly adhere to the Gospel accordingto the stomach.
First they started with Sharia, it worked. Then Hisba, that worked too. They experimented with an all Muslim Security Council, then the all Muslim leadership of the National Assembly, they both worked as well. Then they moved on to a near all Muslim NEC of the APC and now, what now? An all Muslim Presidency! And Southern slaves and Party members are defending the Party just so they will be remembered for appointments when the poisonous food is finally cooked. Next you have to become a Muslim to sit at the table, or to stay alive at all.
