On behalf of the good people of Cross River Central Senatorial District, our dear State and the entire Muslim Faithfuls across Nigeria, I wish all Muslims in Nigeria and World over a happy Eid-El Kabir (Mubarak) as you commemorate and celebrate this auspicious occasion.

As we celebrate this unique occasion, let us renew our faith in our Nation and supplicate to the Almighty Allah to restore to us those values that place high premium on human life, love for our neighbor and sharing even as we ventilate our faith in the unity of our dear country, Nigeria.

It’s a moment and period for sober reflection of patience, fortitude, tolerance, endurance, patriotism and a greater willingness to make personal sacrifices for the good of all.

The significance of this season should be beyond the festivity but towards a sincere commitment to righteousness. Hence, to emulate the life and time of the great Prophet Ibrahim private and public life of generousity, peace, prayer and concern for the less privilege of the society and his trust in Allah as the author and finisher of human faith, believing that our nation can make rapid progress on all fronts if we re-enact the exemplary virtues typified by Prophet through his sacrifices, patience, steadfastness, generosity and obedience to Allah’s command and constituted authority.

May our nation continue to enjoy the grace and favour of the Almighty Allah in this season and beyond.

Sat Jul 9 , 2022
Share ThisBy USANI UGURU USANI In retrospect of the conflict between Nko and onye(a)dama, public commentaries suggest that the privileged indigenes of Nko are the reason for such skirmishes.
