C’RIVER ANTI-DRUG AGENCY RAIDS ON CALABAR, ARRESTS 8 DEALERS, RECOVERS HARD DRUGS.

Cross River State Anti-Narcotics and Drugs Agency has embarked on a successful raid on parts of Calabar, arresting eight drug dealers and recovering various types of hard drugs.

 

The Director-General of the agency, Hon Jacob Ogbor who led the team that carried out the raid said eight men and one woman were arrested during the exercise.

He said the hard inducing substances recovered include cocaine, marijuana and heroine at 8 Miles, Calabar.

 

The DG while expressing the determination of the agency to rid the state of hard drugs dealers and users noted that the successful raid exercise followed a tip off by concerned citizens.

He stated further that those arrested were handed over to the top official of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Calabar.

While calling on members of the public to help the agency with vital information on the hideouts of drug dealers and peddlers, he reiterated the Governor Ben Ayade-led administration’s commitment to free the state from the menace of drug-related challenges across the state.
