STILL ON THE BIAFRAN QUESTION and UNLEVELED POLITICAL PLAYING FIELD.

As humans, you are expected to be objective in your intellectual persuasion and cosmic reportage, to go about and come here to try to justify militarisation in the East in any way is a sign of lopsidedness which creates empty basis for toxic publicity stunt.

Just yesterday, His Eminence, Samuel Kanu Uche who happens to be the Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria has been abducted in Abia State by unknown gun men. It is sad to note that people who have refused to think things through will still say it is IPOB that did it rather than ask government to tell us the truth about the kidnapping and killing of prominent igbo sons and daughters. Let’s stop deceiving ourselves in this country, none of us is foolish. I condemn this act and ask for his immediate and unconditional release.

Fact is, I am not unaware that ESN was established at the height of random killings of farmers and farm land destruction to stop the destruction of farm land and killings of farmers and to prevent the kidnapping and killing of Reverend fathers and religious leaders in the East.

Today, with sustained attack on ESN by a government that proscribed its parent body, religious fathers are being abducted and destruction of farm land and other asset have continued, and all some people do is to say same ESN is responsible for these atrocities and even blamed the organization for the killing of the pregnant woman and her four kids, whom ESN has long said they are not responsible for such act and that is sacrilegious to kill a pregnant woman in igbo land, let’s think and demand answers from the government why prominent Igbos are being abducted and killed.

Moving forward, for those of you screaming why can’t IPOB start by participating in the political process to win elective seats, to you I say, do the math in respect to number of representatives in the East and ask yourself if their sum votes can even pass a legislation in a national assembly. Secondly, do you know how laws are effected in this country? Listen, once a bill passes the national assembly, at least 24 States’ House of Assemblies out of the 36 States’ House of Assemblies in the country have to ratify it.

Are you saying just 5 Eastern states can make a constitutional amendment to see secession and referendum inserted into the illegitimate charged document introduced by Abdulsalami Abubakar? Some of you are just being dishonest in your assessment of processes and procedures or outrightly disinformed.

Anyway, some people understand the flaws in the Nigerian system, not even 17 of the States in Southern Nigeria can even amend a constitution. Pls everybody should rest, self determination is a fundamental human right, and for everyone saying do you think is all Igbos that wants Biafra, here is my response to you, the only way we can know is through referendum. Ask the Nigerian government to insert referendum and secession clause and procedure into its constitution and save the lives of young agitators and those of our service men through practical thinking and contest of ideas over state violence and non state actor attacks.

Signed.
