CHIEF Henry Onwe, the All Progressives Congress, APC, frontrunner in the February 2022, House of Representatves by-election for the Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency has felicitated with Senator Prince Otu on his victory during the APC Governorship Primary.
In a congratulatory message to Prince Otu, Chief Onwe said the past record of the governorship candidate speaks volume and there is no gainsaying the fact that as governor of the state come 2023, Prince Otu would use that enviable record to develop Cross River State.
“Dear Senator Otu sir, you have come a long way politically and with this victory, I have no doubt that you would stamp your feet in the sands of time by concretising the nobles plans and visions you have had over the years in building a great Cross River which would be a cynosure of all eyes”
Chief Onwe in the message highlighted the fact that Cross River State has since 1999 been blessed with great and visionary leaders and the emergence of Prince Otu at this time is God’s conscious effort to keep the state as the leading state in the country.
“Our past leaders have built Cross River with the little resources the state has had in the past and the present governor, His Excellency Senator Professor Ben Ayade has deemed it fit to hand over the baton of leadership to you, it is my fervent faith and the hope of millions of Cross Riverians that you would sustain the pace of development of the state in due course”.
He pointed out that the industrialisation drive of Senator Ayade would be sustained and given more verve in order to create jobs and generate the much needed income for the state.
“I assure you that my team and I would hit the road with you right from day one during the electioneering campaign and with the massive interest your emergence has generated victory will surely come our way”
He concluded that the people of the state are praying for the victory of Prince Otu in the 2023 governorship election and that should be exploited and maximized for landslide victory in the election.
