As the governorship hopeful, Amb. Nkoyo Toyo continues her consultation tour in the northern senatorial district of the state. The people of Yala have been advised to be very careful in electing who governs them as the 2023 general elections draws near.
The former house of representatives member made the statement in Yala local government area while addressing some members of the People’s Democratic Party.
The governorship hopeful cautioned them to be circumspect in selecting the party flag bearer athpaty gets set for the 2023 election.
“we must not allow the mistake of last time to happen again. To get our state back on track, we must sit back and unmask the masquerade, so we can know the real identities behind the mask. Our state is completely broken. Please do not just give a politician our broken society to fix. Give it to the person who can do the job”
The governorship aspirant, described herself as the right person with the required technicality to solve the many challenges facing the state, having worked with several organizations locally and internationally.
The governorship hopeful who met different groups including, youths, women, elders and party Excos also advocated for the use of technology in tackling the problem of insecurity like kidnapping, rape and other criminal acts in the state.
At the meeting with elders of the PDP, the ambition of the former diplomat  received further boost as leaders of the party were unanimous in endorsing her.
An elder of the party had this to say “Listening to Amb. Nkoyo Toyo talk today makes me think that I am in a war college classroom in Jaji. If Mma Nkoyo Toyo does not get the PDP governorship ticket, there will be a lot of divorce. She is simply the best” Major Thompson Eje (Rtd) said.
