Obanliku is the Swaziland of Nigeria with heterogeneous but united people, a common future, well-being, history and experience. What affects one affects all if not immediately, certainly later. Power, wealth and influence are transient.
Brotherhood can never be denied just as whether good or bad, you return home. The people, support, respect, understanding of your brothers keep you going in life. The moment you lost touch with your people, you start floating either politically or socially.
Politics will sure come and go but we remain OBANLIKU irrespective of the enclave you come from.
The principal interest for an Obanliku man today is to have a bridge so that others can use not necessarily the description of the components of that bridge such as what brand of cement, rods, workers etc is used in the construction.
Political parties are only vehicles or platforms that should not take the place of brotherhood. Our prayers should be for any one of us from Obanliku to be that “BRIDGE” used by God to the benefit of us all.
Character assassination, blackmail, name-calling,
bitterness in the name of a Political Party, supposed loyalty and other considerations should not define us as a people.
Remember, you are seen in the light of your respect, value and consideration of your people. When you decide to run down your brother, you invariably discredit yourself. Let us speak well and encourage each other as we all have a date with God, hence time and season. Delay is not denial just as you can be great without destroying another person.
Remember also, that the ignorance of the oppressed, is the strength of the oppressor.
Let Love Lead.
