Dr. Betta Edu’s aspiration to become the National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress has received a major boost following the latest endorsement by the party’s youth lobby group.
The group in a release signed by its Chairman, Oden Ewa, observed that Betta Edu is eminently qualified to take the office of the national women leader of the party.
“Dr. Betta Edu has all the requirements to be the national women leader of the APC. She understands national politics and had since positioned herself as a key player. She has the contact, appeal, exposure and the carriage expected of a national women leader asides the fact that she is a great mobilizer and a very vocal women advocate. She is young and energetic, diligent and approachable. Betta is capacity personified. She has been tested with several tasks and has never failed in any. We are convinced beyond every doubts that Dr. Betta Edu will further push the frontiers of women both in the party and in national politics”.
While acknowledging the impressive qualifications of other aspirants, the group pleaded that the outcome of the consensus arrangement which favored Dr. Betta Edu should be respected, and sheath their swords. as only one person would occupy the seat at a particular time.
APC Youth Lobby Group, Cross River State called on women in the party to join forces together and support Dr. Edu in the forthcoming national convention, saying grace chose her.
