The Director General, Bureau of Public Private Partnership (BPPP), Cross River State, Udiba, Effiong Udiba, has been honoured and conferred with a Doctorate causa in Financial Management, Public Service Administration and Corporate Governance and inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics, Ghana, in Calabar.

According to Dr. Richards Kpoku Aquarte, the Executive Director, West Africa Region of the Institute Headquarters in the Republic of Ghana, who administered the investiture on behalf of the President, Governing Council and Advisory Board of the International Institute said, Dr. Udiba, has been on the radar of the Institute for over two years for his sterling, pragmatic leadership as an icon of excellence, and incorruptible
“The Institute has carried out over a 2 years’ intensive research on your credibility profile with regards to public service and development is indeed very proud of your unassailable statesmanship pedigree, your vast managerial acumen and shrewd administrative proficiency.
“A multi-dimensional professional, erudite scholar and high value public service executive whose name has always been synonymous with integrity, this institute considers ourselves as greatly honoured judging by your towering and milestone leadership antecedents in the various world banking institution.”
“Therefore, we are here on a State visit on behalf of the Advisory Board and Governing Council of this Chartered Institute to confer and honour one of Nigeria’s high flying intellectual professionals, a renowned banking icon of international repute and a most patriotic Nation builder, Udiba, Effiong Udiba, with a Doctorate recognition honours following his impressive and enviable track records as a phenomenal, accomplished Public service personality and worthy Statesman who has made and still making tremendous contributions towards National Development for the progress, peace and unity of One Nigeria. This day you are being honoured as a DOCTORATE in Financial Management, Public Service Administration and Corporate Governance.
“Therefore, the General Public, Corporate affiliations and all professional bodies take note; you shall from this day be addressed as, DR. UDIBA, EFFIONG UDIBA.”
“It is our firm believe Sir, that as a DOCTORATE of this institute, you will impact positively your wealth of uncommon leadership successes, challenges and also cross fertilise developmental ideas/polices with other notable corporate technocrats, Public servants, professionals and veterans’ states persons to move the African Continent forward.
“We urge you, Dr. Udiba, Effiong Udiba, to see this milestone recognition as a motivation to rededicate yourself and continue with the good services to your Nation and humanity in general which you have always been known for, in selfless services and proven professionalism over the years have particularly recognized by the Chartered Institute,” he concluded.

Dr. Udiba, Effiong Udiba, in his brief acceptance speech, thanked Governor Ben Ayade, for the opportunity given him to serve the State and contribute his quota to advance Cross River State in line with His Excellency vision and resolute. “I have known the governor for over 18years today, and his discussions has always revolved on changing the State narrative to better her citizens and propel industrial revolution. He was prepared for governance and no wonder, the giant strides in all sphere of governance.
“I should also commend my wife and family for their total support and understanding to have donated me for service. My mother, has been wonderful, so, my siblings as well. I am committed more than ever before to serve society and humanity better.
“And to the Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics, Ghana, be rest assured that, Calabar, and Nigeria, will certainly become the hub in your vision and mission to provide legacy in public service trust, for resource policy formulation for sustainable socio-economic growth, capacity building across Africa with impeccable integrity, to achieve national socio-economic growth for Africa in Global stage.

In his goodwill message, the Honourable Commissioner of Lands, Cross River State, Prof. Ofem Inyang, commended the Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics, Ghana, for the choice of Dr. Udiba, Effiong Udiba.
“Newly honoured colleague, friend and brother, Dr. Udiba. It’s a thing of joy to witness this great event and I must commend the Institute for their background check and finding you worthy. Honestly to be honoured by an Institute beyond the shores of Nigeria, is an International honour right from Ghana with respected members of the institute. It’s a great one and the choice of Dr. Udiba, Effiong Udiba is not a mistake but a deliberate one.
“I will Associate with the institute to also congratulate him and ensure that this honour is not for honouring seek, but a challenge in the sense that, he will rededicate himself for the greater task ahead and this, I can attest to as it concerns Dr. Udiba’s wholeness. Once again, I want to thank his elder brother, who’s representing the family and all of you gathered here to witness this day,” he said.
The delegation included also, Engr. Abdulazeez Banquari Salawu, Executive Director, Corporate Strategy, Training and Relationship Management, Tanzania, representing the Vice President of the Institute and Mr. Lanre Sadiq, Executive Director, Head of Administration and Correspondence, Nigeria office.

The Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics was inaugurated on 25 May, 1995 and Chartered in 2005, it is an international institute which is professionally structured to strategically enshrine probity in governance, promote incorruptible budgetary analysis, advance entrepreneurial proficiency, cultivate management excellence and to also enhance the drive towards zero tolerance for corrupt practices in the various sectors of member Nation’s economy; both in Public and Private sector.
