SOULTIDE.
Once upon a time, Cross River State Water Board Limited (CRSWBL) under Gershom Bassey, was the cynosure and rallying point amongst other states who come from far and near to under study the workability of near impossible bane of water supply in Nigeria.
This was made simple as a result of commitment and dexterity to decode the issue of portable water supply both in rural and urban settlements.
The transformation in the sector was borne out of share will, and leadership to proffer solution for Cross Riverians to tackle the hydra monster that bedeviled a people and a nation on the verge of extinction as a result of frequency of diseases outbreak as a result of no good drinking water (waterborne diseases).
The ingenuity of now Senator Gershom Bassey, was made manifest to the admiration of both local and international observers and experts who provided counterpart funding in the sector and provided for trainings through workshop’s and conferences on the Cross River Example (Miracle).
This legacy speaks volume of his readiness to steer Cross River State to the Promised Land. Hence, as usual, the problem with Nigeria and most often Black Africa is leadership, sincerity of purpose and honesty of intentions on the part of those in government.
Gershom has these in quantum and never lacks any, but his sin, simply, is wanting things done rightly for the general wellbeing of humanity and devoid of self-aggrandizement.
In 2023, Cross Riverians has the opportunity once again to choose who governs them? Why their choice of Senator Gershom Bassey (SGB?)
And this is simple:
He is CODE.
He is a Transformer.
Obong Ekpe is Tested, and Trusted.
He is the “Daniel that has come to judgment.”
He is the singular highest empowerment general in our annals of history as a people and a state outside government and this has been done across the length and breadth of the state.
And His Core Values: Integrity, Diligence, Accountability and Empathy, tells who truly Senator Gershom Bassey is.
Na Man wen Sabi, and Him No Go Give Free Money but Use Money Well to Develop Wee State.
Follow Man Wen Sabi Road, because him get the blue print to turn around the fortunes of our great state.
The Eagle is not just man of the moment, he has been there, and will continue to be in service to Cross River State and humanity, doing what is best for all.
His administrative acumen, sagacious ability and eyes on details are what we need to propel development for the occupant of Peregrino House, come 2023.
Gersh is the Code and all the way!
