Unemployment is a scourge in Nigeria that has affected the country’s teeming young population negatively. This has given rise to socially irresponsible many thus creating social menaces and serious threats to a secured and prosperous society.
Recognizing this obvious fact coupled with the saying that “an idle mind is the devil’s workshop” Rt. Hon. Bassey Eko Ewa has over the years, while representing his various constituencies, whether it be Yakurr 11 State or Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituencies, walked the talk. He has facilitated employment for his constituents in many federal ministries, departments and agencies. The list of these beneficiaries is quite significantly long. Out of respect for the privacy of these persons, such names will only be released when it becomes absolutely necessary.
Rt.Hon. Bassey Eko Ewa should be commended for his solicitous nature which he transfered into and applied in his tenures of representation as the young man served with an open heart to accomodate all who besought him as he always made himself accessible to all, and unleashed solutions to the challenges of our people through,
✓ Cash donations for business start up and support to events, such as burials, seminars, marriages and human impactful programmes.
✓ Sponsored skill acquisation programmes where beneficiaries are empowered with sewing machines, tricycles, motorbikes, hair dressing and barbing saloon kits, welding machines, computers and generators, cassava grinding engines, with car gifts inclusive to ensure that the people are independent with a good means of livelihood.
He focalized on employment as a crucial concern which gave him the drive to facilitate massive employments for our people at:
✓ Arab Contractors.
✓ SCC.
✓ Primary and Secondary School Teaching Jobs.
✓ The Nigerian Police Force.
✓ The Nigerian Civil Defense Corps.
✓ The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other Commercial Banks.
✓ The Federal Judiciary.
Rt. Hon. Bassey Eko Ewa (BEE) deserves our appreciation for all that he has done as an affectionate leader whose impactful delivery should earn him our support to represent the central Senatorial District at the red Chambers of the Nigerian Senate come 2023.
