THOSE PROMOTING AND SPREADING ZONING… EITHER COWARDS, OR ETHNIC JINGOISTS.

Dear “Orator of the Senate”, You are heating below the belt!
It’s normal to allow statements like this slide into irrelevance when some people say them but abnormal to let them slide when they are said by  people whose aristocratic ascension came from the same people who are now classified as cowards on one side and at best, ethnic jingoists on the flip side.
Dear Distinguished Senator Sandy Onor, it’s expected to have dissenting opinions on many issues especially in politics but for someone like you who was coronated ‘Orator of the Senate’ to condescend to the control of your emotions is quite worrisome to say. It’s clear that you have realised that your ambition is nosediving but you must always be professional enough not to hit below the belt.
Zoning has nothing to do with cowardice nor ethnic jingoism in all its forms but only expresses fairness in its purest form especially considering the heterogeneity of our societies and how minorities should be allowed to ‘self-actualise’. Classifying contrary opinion holders as cowards suggest that you prefer a society where systems are extremely heated because you won’t face the heat as you don’t fall in the category of grasses when you gladiators display in the amphitheatre of Capua.
Meanwhile, the alternate description of proponent of zoning as ethnic jingoists clearly shows you disregard existence of minorities and how the corresponding biases have the possibility of wiping out their chances at leadership, even when they possess the best capacity.
It is regrettable that the discussion about zoning is renting the air when it shouldn’t and it’s prominent because someone like you decided to cause unnecessary political tensions in a politically peaceful state under the guise of meritocracy. We don’t expect you to argue any differently but only appeal that you show a character that’s befitting of someone of your class and with your ambition.
While we appreciate your oratory prowess, we feel the arrogance that defines your speeches is not for a democratic political clime. We know your interest in education would compel you back to the classroom but we urge you to be kind to those students because your vituperations as a political leader makes us wonder how you handled those you thought as a university lecturer and fear for those you will meet in classrooms on your successful return in 2023.
The Southern Senatorial District contestants are capable and not scared of the fight but only want the intensity to be less as much as possible.
