THANKSGIVING: GERSHOM BASSEY LED FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO CELEBRATE GOD AND SEEKS PRAYERS FOR POLITICAL JOURNEY.

It was a moment of celebration, Thanksgiving, and sober reflection as the Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Gershom Bassey, today, Sunday, led his family, friends, and well-wishers to appreciate God for a glorious and rewarding year, 2021, as well as to seek His divine grace for the year, 2022 and incoming year.
The event which took place at Presbyterian church Of Nigeria, Eyamba Parish in Calabar, was set aside to formally receive the immediate past Governor of Cross River State, Senator Liyel Imoke, and other dignitaries
Speaking at the event, the senator who is popularly known as the “Eagle” of Cross River State described the day as a unique and memorable event, noting that it has afforded him an ample opportunity to meet and interact with a great number of Cross Riverians upon his leadership quest, whom he said elicited happiness and radiance. Senator Gershom also stressed the need for Cross Riverians to keep up the team spirit, dedication to duty, and above all, pray and stay together; pointing out that these were principles instrumental to the great achievements made by leadership in the face of daunting economic challenges. Bassey expressed appreciation to everyone for the honor done him.
In a separate remark, Rt. Hon. Nelson Ofem, Representing Yakurr Constituency 1, at the state level, extolled the pragmatic leadership style of Distinguished Senator Gershom as an incoming Governor of Cross River State. He further expressed optimism that the “Eagle” will land well in terms of service delivery.
