CHIEF EZEIFE CALLS ON RELIGIOUS LEADERS TO HELP IN STABILISING NIGERIA,AS INSECURITY FESTERS

The Nigerian Third Republic Governor of Anambra State, Chief Chukwuemeka Ezeife has advocated the need for religious leaders in the country to proffer solutions to the lingering security crises bedevilling Nigeria in recent times.

Chief Ezeife who stated this while addressing the Press shortly after the Installation of Arch Bishops and Consecration of Bishops in Abuja,regretted that the position the country is presently in in terms of security is very worrisome. Hence the need for spiritual leaders to use their influence and capability to steer the nation to the right direction.

Continuing,the Anambra born elder statesman said the level of insecurity in the country as at the moment couple with other issues needs all hands to be on deck in order to rescue the nation from where it is heading.

“As an ardent believer of this country for many years, I will tell you that I’m so worried, from the North to East,from South to West there are catalogue of challenges ranging from economy,security, defence,unemployment amongst others. And for some of us that refuse to leave this country, it is difficult to watch the nation tilting towards the precipice before our very eyes”

“So,there’s need for religious leaders to help in this regards to rescue our country, because this is the only country we have”

The all white wearing leader stressed that Nigeria must work whether now or latter,noting that all political, religious,traditional,women and youth leaders should rally together for the betterment of the country.

According to him,”I have come to understand that even God listen to even sinners like us,that’s why it is very pertinent for spiritual leaders to help the country even as they do the work of God” he emphasised.

High point of the event was the installation of three Arch Bishops and Consecration of Bishops to the Bishopric offices.
