ASUQUO EKPENYONG JR. HCIB INDUCTED INTO THE CHARTERED INSTITUTE OF BANKERS OF NIGERIA (CIBN) AS SENIOR MEMBER.

The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) on the 30th of October 2021, admitted 50 members into the Institute at an elaborate ceremony at Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The Cross River State Commissioner for Finance, Asuquo Ekpenyong Jr HCIB was admitted as a Senior member of the Institute. He received his award alongside other notable awardees including the Director General, World Trade Organization (WTO) Dr. (Mrs) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and the Deputy Governor Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr. Kingsley Obiora.
Speaking on receipt of the award, Asuquo Jr. stated that “The Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIB) is the world’s foremost institution when it comes to Banking & Financial Professionalism, Ethics and Integrity. To be inducted as a Senior Member of the Institute today is a great honor and privilege that I do not take for granted. I am humbled and I will continue to strive to maintain the highest level of fiscal discipline and transparency that warranted this special recognition by the Institute.”
The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) is the umbrella professional body for bankers in Nigeria and was established in 1973. In a statement by the Head of Corporate Communication & External Relation of the Institute, Mr. Nelson Olagundoye, he described the awardees as individuals the Institute recognizes for meritorious services, commitment to professional responsibilities and valuable contributions to the industry in particular and the economy in general.
