The Honourable Member Representing the Obanliku Local Government Area in the Cross River State House of Assembly (CRSHoA), Dr. Sunday Ikwen Achunekang, felicitates with the Obanliku people both at home and in diaspora as the mark Obanliku at 30, and the New Yam Festival, hence, the joy of our being.

In a goodwill message, Hon. Achunekang, thus stated, “on behalf of my family and staff, I rejoice with the good people of Obanliku State Constituency on the occasion of the 2021 Obanliku Cultural Day and New Yam Festival  scheduled for August 28th, 2021.

Joyfully, I wish to use this medium to acknowledge the untiring efforts and the resillience of the traditional Rulers ably led by the Paramount Ruler Uchua Amos Uyimulam Item, the Executive Chairman Obanliku LGA, the National President and branch Presidents of Obanliku Development Association (ODA), Obanliku Women Association, Youth parliament, Youth Council and Students groups, for the Peace and Developmental process of the Local Government Area, the Clergy, Business Community, Security Operatives and the Political Class,  for their collaborative effort ensuring law and order within Obanliku Local Government Area.

As we celebrate this year New Yam festival, symbolic of our cultural Heritage, I wish to cease this opportunity to call for Peaceful coexistence during and after the celebration.

I promise as your elected Representative to the House of Assembly, I will continue to initiate legislations that would impact the people of Obanliku positively and fast track development as well as propel economic transformation.
