FORUM OF HEALTH SUPERVISORS PAID COURTESY VISIT ON DG OF CRSPHCDA, ADVOCATE EFFECTIVE COLLABORATION ON HEALTH MANAGEMENT.

The forum of Cross River State Supervisors for health have paid an advocacy visit to the Director General of the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Janet Ekpenyong to seek areas of collaboration in their various Local Government Areas.
Receiving the team in her office in Calabar, DG of the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Janet Ekpenyong thanked the team for the visit, noting that, it’s only through collective contributions and support that the health and well being of citizens can be guaranteed.
She urged them to work harmoniously with the Directors Local Government Health Authority and team in ensuring that, all areas of health interventions can be covered in line with the aspiration of the state Governor, Senator Prof Ben Ayade.
She further called on them to act as mediators between the Agency and the Local Government Area to drive health care to the hinterlands and hard to reach areas to checkmate various preventable deaths.
Speaking on behalf of the team, Supervisor for Health , Odukpani Local Government Area,  Ndem Ndem said the need for effective collaboration cannot be over emphasized as both bodies seek for a common goal which is the collective health for all.
He described the DG as proactive and hardworking noting that within a short time, she has made tremendous improvement in the quality of services offered as well as improve the working condition of the staff.
The forum further seek for opportunities where they can offer their expertise  and contributions  for the improvement of health care services in order for the state to compete favourable with it’s counterparts across the globe.
Highlight of the meeting was the presentation of an Award to the Director General for her outstanding leadership and contributions to the strengthening of the Health System.
Those present include , Ndem Ndem (Odukpani), Inyang Michael (Bekwarra), Joy Patrick (Akampka), Ogbeche Emmanuel (Ogoja), Mercy James (Biase), Regina Ojah (Yakurr), Ukpeliye Elizabeth (Obudu) and Ikade Alice (Yala).
