Nigerians in all walks of life today converge in Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island,Lagos to chat a way forward regarding oil and gas industry in the country.
The event is organised by Lawyers in Oil and Gas Industry in Nigeria (LOGN) with a theme: Nigeria’s Oil and Gas Future: Law,Policy,Regulation.
The event which is poised to explicitly discuss legal issues,policy matters and regulatory framework surrounding the rich industry has in its honorary list, Africa’s richest business mogul Alh. Aliko Dangote as LOGN Award Honoree.
Emmanuel Uduara while speaking with some of the dignitaries and monitored by The EpistleNews noted that the objective of the event is to deliberate on vital issues relating to policy framework,future of oil in Nigeria as well as legal and administration procedures in oil business.
Some of the dignitaries maintained that though the future of oil is posing series of challenges in view of the fact that many former non oil countries are now proud oil exploratory countries and the challenge posed by technology regarding non fossil fuel machines,the industry in its capacity and drive still have a lot to offer.
The Award which is the 4th Lawyers in Oil and Gas Industry award is also design to assist legislators and governments to come up with policies and projects geared towards developing the industry and by implication providing jobs for the teaming populace.
