UNFPA DONATES PPE’s TO CRSMoH TO TACKLE SECOND WAVE OF COVID-19 IN HOSPITALS.

The United Nations Fund for Population Activities(UNFPA), through the Ministry of International Development Cooperation has supported some Health Facilities in the State with Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) to tackle the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Hon Com for International Development Cooperation (MIDC), Inyang Asibong while presenting the items to the CRS Commissioner for Health, Dr Betta Edu, at the General Hospital, Calabar,  said the PPEs are to support  Health Workers who are at the forefront of the fight against the dreaded infection and to improve the safety of individuals who are actively working and responding to the COVID-19 pandemic in Hospitals.
The Chairman of the State COVID-19 Committee and  Commissioner for Health, Dr Betta Edu, in her part, thanked the UNFPA for their continuous support. She added that the State Government, led by Governor Ben Ayade is doing everything possible to curtail the disease.
Also in attendance were the DG, CRS Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr Janet Ekpeyong; DG, SACA, Dr Etcheri Ansa , Medical Director, General Hospital, Dr Kumar Pranchanc, amongst others .
