The arrival of this year’s Christmas is another privilege for me to acknowledge, appreciate and Celebrate God’s love and faithfulness upon our lives and for keeping our loved ones alive to witness another unique season of joy and laughter.
As the tradition of Christmas, it is a time to show and express unconditional love and sacrifice as examplified in the life of the one who we celebrate today, Jesus Christ and a moment to take stock of our relationship with ourselves and others.
Though we may be carried away by the gifts we receive and share with others, it is more important that  beyond opening the boxes, we should open our hearts and show kindness to people around us which is most typical of us as Cross Riverians.
It is on this note that I want to wish His Excellency, the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prof Ben Ayade and his beloved wife, Dr Mrs Linda Ayade a blissful and rewarding Christmas celebration.
I also Felicitate with the Deputy Governor Professor Ivara Esu and his family, the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, RT.Honourable Eteng Jones and members of the legislative arm of Government, the Commissioner for Health and all members of the state Executive Council, Members of board, Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Directors of Local Government Health Authority, Management and Staff of the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, our clients and members of the public on this auspicious occasion of Christmas.
It is therefore a great honor for me to wish you all the most rewarding Christmas celebration ever with your family and  loved ones.
My prayer for you all is that the love of God will abide in us and our Celebration will be without concerns.
But as we celebrate, I must remind us of the need to still apply caution to everything we do especially in observing all Covid19 Protocols as we are already in the second wave of the pandemic spread.
I urge you all to ensure that you wash your hands with soap and water as often as possible, the use of facemask has also proven to check disease spread and also the use of alcohol based hand sanitizer in order to protect ourselves and those around us.
Once again, I wish you Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year .
Signed
Dr Janet Ekpenyong
