The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Cooperation Cross River State (MIDC) Dr. Inyang Asibong has called on Cross Riverians to embrace the return of the Cultural Village so as to celebrate and promote the lifestyle the State potential heritage.

On Thursday, December 3rd 2020, Dr. Inyang who actively participated in the commissioning of the Arts, Crafts and Cultural Village in Calabar also eludicate to pressmen that strict COVID-19 guidelines will be enforced as well as security, lighting, environmental health to safeguard the visitors and vendors.

We Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Eric Anderson earlier emanated the core objective of the Arts, Crafts and Cultural Village initiative “to specifically celebrate and promote the lifestyle of Cross River people, their history, art, architecture, religion, and other elements that helped shape their way of life.”

The event had in attendance the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Eric Anderson, representative of the State’s 18 Local Government Areas showcasing tangible and intangible cultural heritage such as music, arts, cuisines, languages, wrestling, dances, ecetera, as part of the State’s efforts in the preservation, promotion and exchange of the distinctive cultural wealth Cross River State.
