Following the National Executive Meeting Resolution reached today 20th September, 2020 by Representatives from Citizens Solution Network and other Civil Society Organisations from across the country chaired by the National Chairman of ASCAB, Mr. Femi Falana SAN;
The following resolutions were reached:
1. The mass protest earlier scheduled for 23rd September, 2020 will be shifted from 23rd September, 2020 to 28th September, 2020 in line with considerations to the position of TUC and NLC.
2. Because, Citizens’ Solution Network is among the Coalition of CSOs within Nigeria committed to foisting the government to reversing the said policy hikes of energy tariff and fuel through deliberation with other CSOs nationwide, we had agreed with others to shift the planned protest to 28th of September, 2020 in line with the resolution reached by all alliance CSOs.
3. We urge Nigerians to be on standby for the new date of national action against the hikes and misappropriation of our sovereign as a massive body of evidence shows unmistakably that Nigeria isn’t broke as the current government claims.
4. By 23rd September, 2020 being Wednesday, Citizens Solutions Network will join the National Chairperson of ASCAB; Mr. Femi Falana SAN and other Civil Society Organisations to attend a virtual joint press conference and issue a joint press statement in respect to our collective plan for the new protest date of 28th September, 2020.
5. Do well to grab a copy of the press statement when issued, for it will shock you with unbelievable facts about the current surpluses lying fallow in the hands of greedy few and government-ran institutions in Nigeria.
Thanks
Signed
Richard F INOYO,
Country Director,
Citizens’ Solution Network.
